2010-2011 Bethel Budget: We Need A Modest Increase

Last years near zero budget increase caused us to reach a tipping point. The schools are running at a bare-bones level, a decrease would adversely impact them. The town-side of the budget can be trimmed a little bit, but the First Selctman’s salary should not be cut. In short, Bethel needs a modest increase, but one that is not as high as the Bethel Board of Finance has proposed.
